Brian Wong is the Co-founder and General Partner at Ascii Ventures, an early stage venture fund focused on investing in “Boringtech” companies. Ascii uses a unique approach by doing both early stage and secondaries in pre IPO boringtech companies as well. He was formerly co-founder at Kiip (pronounced “keep”). Kiip is credited with the creation rewards-based advertising. The company was backed by over $40mm in capital from Verizon Ventures, American Express Ventures, True Ventures, and others. Kiip was acquired by Ninthdecimal/InMarket. Brian received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia at age 18, after skipping four K-12 grades. He was a recipient of the Forbes’ “30 under 30”, three years in a row. Brian launched his first book when he was 25, called “The Cheat Code”, published by Penguin/Crown.
