Mr. Sirgoo Lee is the CEO of Dunamu Inc., which operates Upbit, the largest and the 1st licensed digital asset exchange in Korea. He was previously the Chief Director of Digital Strategy Division at JoongAng Media Network, Co-Chief Executive Officer at Kakao Corp. and Chief Executive Officer at NHN USA Inc. Since joining Dunamu in December 2017, he has introduced various programs and guidelines to enhance the transparency and reliability of digital asset investments, successfully growing Upbit into a global asset exchange. Under his leadership, Dunamu has also focused on creating a blockchain ecosystem through investments in promising startups, establishing an investor protection center, Upbitcare, and providing talent training and scholarships. Since 2018, Dunamu has annually hosted UDC, a global blockchain conference, to facilitate the growth and expansion of the blockchain industry in Korea. Furthermore, to advance the development of Korea’s digital asset ecosystem and establish progressive self-regulatory framework, he has led the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance since its inception in 2022. Mr. Sirgoo Lee has a B.A in East Asian History from Seoul National University, an M.A degree in Chinese History from University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a J.D from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.
